Blowing Rock

High in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, the town of Blowing Rock – known as “The Crown of the Blue Ridge” – has been a special destination for travelers since the 1800s, largely for those seeking cool relief from summer heat.  In today’s fast-paced world, Blowing Rock continues to provide visitors and residents a unique, small town experience.

Renowned art galleries, antique stores, performance venues, and year-round festivals provide culture and entertainment. The bed and breakfasts, local shopping, friendly inns, eclectic restaurants and unmatched hospitality provide the charm.

Blowing Rock is also home to the Tweetsie Railroad Theme Park, which features steam railway equipment originally used on the famed narrow gauge East Tennessee and Western North Carolina Railroad, a favorite route for excursionists during the early 20th Century.
